What information we collect when you get in touch or book a pickup, what it’s used for, and how you can ask us to remove it.
Who’s in charge of your data
Laundry Karon is run by DIAMOND PRO COMPANY LIMITED (Tax ID 0835565018687), based at 46/374 Moo 6, Kathu Subdistrict, Kathu District, Phuket Province, Thailand. This company is the one responsible for any personal data gathered through this site. You can reach us at contact@laundry-phuket.com.
Information we gather
- Through the contact form: your name, your email, the hotel or address you type in, and whatever you write in your message.
- Through WhatsApp: if you message us there, we get your phone number, your profile name, and the conversation itself.
- Order information: the pickup location, dates and other details we need to collect, wash and return your laundry.
- Server logs: our hosting provider automatically records things like your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, mainly for security and fixing technical issues.
We never ask for card details through this website — payment happens in cash at your hotel, or by bank transfer if you have a Thai account.
What it’s used for
This information is used only to reply to you, arrange and complete the laundry order you’ve requested, keep a record on file, and meet our legal obligations. We don’t run ads with it, and we never sell it to anyone.
Who has access to it
Your data is visible to the team running Laundry Karon, and to the service providers that keep this site and our messaging running — our hosting company, our email provider, and WhatsApp (Meta), if that’s how you choose to reach us. These providers handle the data either on our behalf or under their own policies, and some may store it outside Thailand.
Cookies and web fonts
No advertising or analytics cookies run on this site, and we don’t track visitors. The only cookie WordPress sets is a technical one, and only if you log into the admin dashboard. Fonts are served through Google Fonts, so your IP address reaches Google whenever a font file loads.
How long we hold on to it
We keep messages and order records only as long as needed to deliver the service and deal with any follow-up questions, capped at 12 months unless the law requires otherwise. Our host keeps server logs for a short, standard technical period.
What you can ask us to do
Under Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), and the GDPR if it applies to you, you’re entitled to request a copy of your data, have it corrected, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop using it. Email contact@laundry-phuket.com and we’ll get back to you promptly.
About children’s data
This service is meant for adults, and we don’t set out to collect information from children.
